Mesolift- Mesoglow

History

Discovered in 1952 by French Physician Dr. Michel Pistor, mesotherapy (also known as meso-lipotherapy or lipodissolve) is the practice of painlessly injecting small amounts of medications, amino acids, vitamins and minerals into the fat and connective tissue that makes up the middle layer of skin called the mesoderm. The technique was first used to treat such conditions as vascular diseases, sports trauma, infectious diseases, rheumatologic diseases, and to improve circulation.

Soon after its discovery, physicians started using the technique for aesthetic improvements. Mesotherapy has a variety of applications: spot fat reduction, cellulite reduction, hair rejuvenation, scar revision, improvement of the quality and tone of skin and the reduction of wrinkles.

MesoLift-MesoGlow

Improving the quality and tone of skin on the face and neck is the objective of the form of mesotherapy known as MesoLift-MesoGlow. In this application of injection therapy (not intended for spot fat reduction) multi-vitamins, minerals, and trace elements are injected superficially into the face.

As we age, the accumulation of fat, loss of skin elasticity, and effects of free radical damage show up as sagging and wrinkling. MesoLift-MesoGlow provide support and essential elements for normal skin turn over and repair. They stimulate collagen production, inhibit melanin, and promote microcirculation. Their antioxidant properties protect from free radical damage.

Another important ingredient of MesoLift-MesoGlow is hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a "hydrophilic" ("water loving") linear polysaccharide (natural sugar) that plays an important role in tissue hydration and lubrication. Used in mesotherapy, it results in increased smoothness, softening, and decreased wrinkles.
