Job Opening: Medical Aesthetician
Individual must have an excellent knowledge of the skin and exceptional skills with hands on experience with Lasers such as: IPL, YAG and Alexandrite. Experience with Radio Frequency a plus. VanderVeer Center Introduces the Veleshape II
VanderVeer Center introduces the gold standard of noninvasive cellulite remedies.
The Veleshape II
How it works: The Veleshape II device heats the fat cells and softens and remodels the septae with radio frequency waves - essentially electric currents - as well as infrared light, suction, and mechanical massage. Patients undergo one session a week for one to two months. Veleshape II contour’s the skin by delivering radio frequency to stimulate collagen in the skin’s under layer, the dermis, and thus make it tighter. These firming effects can be achieved in anywhere from one to five visits.
Expert Analysis: "The most important thing is having realistic expectations," says Dr. Sadick, clinical professor of dermatology at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City, who has conducted research on the Veleshape technology and considers it the gold standard of noninvasive treatments due to the relative abundance of peer-reviewed clinical studies. Among the 35 patients he evaluated, the average improvement was 40 percent, according to a report in the Journal of Cosmetic Laser Therapy. But "pretty much everyone will go back to their baseline within six months" if they don’t have maintenance treatments every three to six months, Sadick says.

Meghan Richmond N.D is a licensed Naturopathic Physician and specializes in injections, laser treatments, Bioidentical Hormones, and Naturopathic Medicine. Originally from Alaska, Dr. Richmond graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Kinesiology and completed her training with an internship at Georgetown.
