IPL/AFT
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL/AFT) is a series of light based treatments to revitalize and renew the skin resulting in a more youthful appearance. IPL comes in many forms and models. VanderVeer Center has invested both time and money to acquire the best-in-class equipment using Ellipse I²PL System and Alma Harmony® Laser. IPL/AFT also improves the appearance of Rosacea, sun damaged, and aged skin. It reduces age spots and fine lines, as well as redness and flushing. The IPL/AFT Lasers at VanderVeer Center are the state-of-the-art and provide adjustable and effective penetration used for improving the appearance of forehead wrinkles and creases. Our treatments utilize the second generation Intense Pulsed Light (I2PL). In addition to treating age and brown spots, sun damage on the arms and hands, IPL/AFT can also reduce or eliminate the appearance of prominent veins and capillaries.Plasma Skin Regeneration
Portrait® Laser is recommended for patients who seek a more youthful appearance without surgery.Portrait® Skin Regeneration is different from other laser treatments in that it is the first and only treatment clinically proven to regenerate skin. Its unique energy-transferring mechanism initiates regeneration deep below the skin’s surface, remodeling the skin’s architecture.
This creates dramatic results that improve over time as the new architecture progressively replaces the old. VanderVeer Center patients see improvements in skin texture, tone and reduction of fine lines and wrinkles at lower levels of treatment and reduction of deep wrinkles at higher levels of treatment. New healthier collagen growth will improve contours and enhance overall appearance. Downtime is minimal and clinical studies show that the improvements you see following treatment will become even more dramatic over time. Most patients feel minimal discomfort during the procedure.
Following the treatment, it is recommended that you wear a minimum of 45 SPF sunscreen daily. Make-up can be applied immediately after treatment and you can resume normal activities. Many patients scheduled their treatments over lunch and return to work right after. There may be some slight redness or swelling for a few hours or, on rare occasions, a few days.
Fractional Skin Resurfacing
Fractional resurfacing is a laser-based procedure, which is used to treat a variety of cosmetic conditions, including sun damage, scars, wrinkles, and other damage that occurs as a result of the aging process. Recovery time from skin resurfacing is minimal, and men and women can expect to resume their normal routines right after treatment. You can expect some slight redness, like that of a mild sunburn. Results are long-lasting, and occasional touch-ups can help maintain results even longer. VanderVeer Center offers Pixel TM and Portrait® Lasers for skin resurfacing.Medical Peels
Chemical Peels are effective in skin rejuvenation by exfoliating damaged upper layers to reveal new, healthier skin. At VanderVeer Center we offer the SkinMedica® Peel System which offers three levels of medical grade chemical peels of various strengths, designed to produce different levels of exfoliation based on the patient’s individual needs and goals.Illuminize Peel TM is SkinMedica’s lightest peel, appropriate for first-time chemical-peel patients or patients looking for a gentle, superficial peel, providing brighter and more radiant skin.
Vitalize Peel® is suitable for all skin types, requires little to no downtime, and produces predictable and noticeable results.
Rejuvenize Peel TM is the deepest peel of the three. This superficial peel penetrates the deeper layers of the epidermis and produces the most amount of exfoliation.
